St. Andrew’s Church of England Primary School is a happy, safe and welcoming environment where everyone is valued. Our Christian faith is central to moral development, mutual respect and an appreciation for the cultural diversity within our community. It is our intention to provide opportunities for every child to succeed and to strive towards excellence in everything they do. We are a family, our strength is in our love and respect for one another.
St Andrew’s is proud to be a teaching school, the first primary school appointed in Salford. It is an outstanding place to work and learn. Working with Liverpool Hope University, we can develop personalised training that will have the academic and theoretical underpinning which allows trainees to become outstanding practitioners.
We offer a welcoming and supportive environment for trainees, working in a partnership with seven successful schools, each committed to providing the best. Our partnership is lead by St Andrew’s CE Primary Teaching School and comprises a mix of faith and non-faith schools of different sizes.
St Andrew’s has a history of teacher training. We have had great success in providing placements for primary trainees, all our students have graduated with good or outstanding grades and found employment at the end of their training.
Our teachers are exemplary practitioners, keen to share their practice and able to offer subject specialist knowledge. Pupil behaviour at St Andrew’s is excellent and our children are enthusiastic and willing to learn. Training to teach with us will be stimulating, challenging and rewarding.
Places are within our Teaching Alliance, and placements will be at one of the following schools:
