About Us

Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS) is a Teaching School with an outstanding reputation. CHHS leads the Altius Alliance which consists of good or better schools within Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Cheshire. The Alliance offers a diverse range of contexts such as: Comprehensive schools 11-16 and 11-18, Pupil Referral Units, a Special Educational Needs School, Primary Schools and a Sixth Form College. A unique selling point to the training provided is the completion of an accredited unit on Mental Health.

You can be sure that the training you will receive within the Alliance will be cutting edge. Here you are taught how to teach by Specialist Leaders in Education and the ability to blend theory and practice is facilitated. Subject and Professional Mentors support your development all the way. In addition to attaining Qualified Teacher Status you will be awarded 60 Masters Credits by Manchester Metropolitan University to reflect the fact that you are able to simultaneously learn the skills required to be an outstanding teacher whilst continuing to develop your academic profile. We have a 100% employment record for our Associate Teachers.
